Very clever and clean film. The solid colors and smooth edges make for a very nice environment that's easy to watch and doesn't distract from the action.
Not a bad dream at all.

A very clean and smooth-running game.
Also, nice touch with the subdued and full music (with and without vocal riff, respectively) to represent pre-game, in-game, and post-game states.

"Certainly Hope This Becomes A Series"
Taking influences from ATHF, this submission does quite well as a comedy short.
Yay for abstract and random humor.

Taking influences from popular FPS arcade games, particularly House Of The Dead and Area 51, this flash game shows a lot of promise. The initial "cutscene" is well-executed and the introduction to our character is simple and clean. The targets are a bit difficult to kill, not in their speed or size, but simply that clicking on their area trigger doesn't always set off the trigger. Aside from that, you solved the issue of reloading well and the GUI was functional and didn't get in the way of the gameplay. However, a walkthrough of how to use it or monitor it would have been useful. For instance, the health monitor wasn't apparent until it started going down.
Other than these minor critiques, an enjoyable and fun flash game. If you decide to remake it, I'd be glad to provide grammatical corrections for your intro and such.
Made me come out of my reviewing hiatus...

Great message about imagination's power.
Excellent song selections from Amelie and Cowboy Bebop.
Perfect quote by Walt Disney.
Heartwarming.

Spirited Away - "Main Theme"
Good to see a submission different from most others here on NG.

The first of hopefully a good many Halloween-themed flashes. Nifty style to this, nice touch using Pico, and great job on the jittering camera/shadow caused by the gunfire.
The music loop was fitting of an eCard, if a little too short (repetitive) to be used for more than a minute or two.
Excellent work.

Certainly not an easy track to do a music video for whatsoever, let alone a flash rendition.
In fact, this bests most of the flash music videos I've seen here on NG and floating about the internet.
Very original and interpretive.
Congrats on a job well done.

Despite what Newgrounds' youths might say, this belongs in the top 50.
Excellent music selection as well.
Love the almost crayon-like drawing style, especially.
Very nicely done and looking forward to more.

Noticed a few (small) bugs in the programming. Hope you don't mind my mentioning them.
Nice touch with having the ship's current weapon stock numbers available in the shop view. However, after buying ammunition and entering a new level, the new purchases don't appear in the interface until each weapon type is selected and fired once. Then the number switches to incorporate the new ammo purchases of that weapon.
Plus, the shop price of an extra life is 1000, but they only deduct 200 each.
Also, when purchasing gun upgrade #1 for 4000, it doesn't register the first time, but still deducts 4000. Only after paying another 4000 does it give the upgrade and switch to offering gun upgrade #2.
The music was fitting, but the looping got a little monotonous after awhile. I understand that was to keep your filesize down and why more tracks isn't really a possibility.
Lastly, is there an easy way to code flash to keep the ship's weapon selections for primary, secondary, and heavy between levels?
Despite what might look like nitpicking and bitching, this is all constructive criticism. This game was all but perfect. Really a soon-to-be classic on Newgrounds and it definitely has Daily Feature potential.
